Do your orthotics look like this?
Do Orthotics Wear Out?
We can refurbish them to look like new again (for FREE, of course!)
Over time, the covers and cushioning components of orthotic will wear out. When this happens, your orthotics might not feel as comfortable, cushioned or corrective as they once were, which might also result in some of your pain or symptoms to slowly starting to return.
At SoleScience, we design our orthotics to last you a minimum of 2-4 years, with regular refurbishing. Over the years, we have refined our design process in such a way that all of our devices can be refurbished for an even longer life.
When to Repair Custom Orthotics
One thing we can’t change is the durability of the top covers and cushion on orthotics. In order to keep them comfortable, we must use softer, less durable materials as the covers. Everyone wears down these materials at a different rate, but most covers last about 1-2 years before they need to be replaced. Once you notice that your orthotics look a little worn down, compressed or “tired” simply bring them back into your Pedorthist to be relined. As a service to our patients, there is no charge for any refurbishing, recovering or repairs made to any of our devices, for the life of the orthoses.
