Adam Froats, MSc, C Ped (C), R. Kin.
Adam has been a part of the SoleScience team since 2011, when he began as a Student Pedorthist. Since then, Adam has successfully completed Western’s Diploma in Pedorthics program, becoming a Canadian Certified Pedorthist in 2012. Without skipping a beat, Adam returned to Western in 2012 to begin a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science. Adam became a Registered Kinesiologist in 2013 and completed his Master’s degree in 2014. The focus of his Master’s research was on the effect of running-induced fatigue on the kinematics of the foot and lower limb. His current research interests include running fatigue, running style and foot posture.
Adam currently works as a dual clinician (both a Certified Pedorthist and Registered Kinesiologist) in Ilderton at the Middlesex Centre Family Medicine Clinic and in Shedden at the D.A. Monteith Medical Building. He is also one of our core team members at our fabrication facility in London.
Outside of his work as a Pedorthist, Adam is a volunteer firefighter, enjoys running, weight training, golf, and hockey. Adam is currently a member of the Pedorthic research foundation committee and looks forward to continuing his contributions to the Pedorthic profession via committee involvement, research and other volunteering.
