Last month, SoleScience was honoured as London Free Press’ “Best Footcare Specialist!” Thank you for your support and ongoing trust in our expertise. We are proud to serve London and the surrounding communities!
May is Foot Health Month, and our Team here at SoleScience want to raise awareness about the importance of regular foot exams and preventative foot care.
While we regularly educate all of our patients with chronic conditions about the importance of maintaining regular foot care, foot health is not only for those with complex conditions like Diabetes or Arthritis to regularly pay attention to. Foot health is important for everyone—young and old, sedentary and active.
The feet can be a sort of window to the rest of the body. Feet provide a wealth of information about other health problems and are sometimes the first structures affected by changes to your overall health. The foot is a complex structure of 26 bones, over 30 joints and more than 100 muscles, ligaments and tendons working harmoniously to keep us moving. Seeing a registered healthcare provider for an annual foot exam can detect small changes before they become big problems and literally help you stay on your feet!
At SoleScience, our passion is getting you back to the things you love. Whether you’re an elite athlete looking to recover from (or prevent) an injury, a retiree wanting to stay active with grandkids, or someone who works for a living on their feet, regular foot exams help to keep your heels healthy.
A comprehensive annual assessment will help to identify and prevent problems. These exams allow your Pedorthist to recommend small changes that can make a big difference in your overall comfort and day-to-day living. For some, that might mean the right shoe, custom foot orthotics or a referral to another healthcare provider. For others, it may simply be stretching, activity modification or an off-the-shelf solution. No matter what you need, we are here to help!
With Foot Health Month underway, we invite each an every former, current or future patient to visit us for a much needed comprehensive foot exam! Visit our website to see how we can help you get back on your feet.
